A Trav’s Eye View of the Workplace

Yeah, I said! Just got the word from Feedspot that Travalanche ranks #57 of all New York City based blogs and websites, which I call not too shabby given that the list is topped by the likes of ILoveNewYork, The New York Press, and Fashionista, and that NYC must have thousand upon thousands of websites. Check it out!

There are other stats to report.  I’m comfortable calling Travalanche the greatest resource of its kind on the internet. We’re fast approaching the benchmark of 10,000 original articles on American popular culture and related topics, including what I’m quite certain is the worlds largest collection of biographies of vaudeville veterans, nearly 2,000. There are many people I’ve written about on Travalanche about whom MINE IS THE ONLY ONLINE ARTICLE. I calculate I’ve put over 20,000 man-hours into Travalanche over the past decade and a half. Many scholars, writers, film buffs etc use Travalanche as a resource. I’m approaching 4 million unique page views, and nearly 8 million total. So we’ve made some headway over the years.

And here’s the kicker. Readers get it for FREE. But producing it isn’t free. Making this blog happen costs in blood, sweat, and treasure! So I hope you’ll support it. You can chip in for AS LITTLE AS A DOLLAR A MONTH.  All my Patreon subscribers get access to my double secret blog, where I post daily video and audio clips and sometimes original podcast content that’s not on Travalanche. Sometimes we’ve done special members only online events, and even walking tours. I’m awful grateful to my Patreon supporters! I hope you’ll join them! Do that here.

And again that impressive Feedspot list is here.
